An interschool competition held on 26 August, 2016 at Vidyashilp academy saw Delhi Public School bagging the first place in the Kannada elocution competition. Our school, Delhi Public School Bangalore North was one of the many prestigious schools invited to join the fest and take part in the many events offered. Some other schools invited were: Vivekananda, Vinayaka public school, Vidya Nikethan, Regency school, NPS-Yashwanthpur, ST Michel School and Nagarjuna.
Maanya R Vasistha (class 5) and Varsha N Kumar (class 6) were the two students selected to represent the Kannada department. Varsha won first place in the elocution competition, surprising the judges (D.V Patil and Channappa K.N) as well as the audience with her brilliant performance. Maanya got a well-deserved participation certificate for her performance in “expressions of humor”.
Hearty congratulations to both the children for bravely representing the Kannada department.
