An Entrepreneurship Workshop was held in our school on 27th August’ 2012. The Entrepreneurs were young and successful Mr. Shreekant Pawar and Mr. Himanshu Arora.
Mr.Shreekant, co-founder of “FARASBEE”, an e-marketing website and portal development, talked about how entrepreneurship is not only derived from textbooks but as a whole, is an innovative and creative experience with a learning process moving along. He began by saying “Everyone has an entrepreneur in them” which is completely true. He shared with the students how he managed to earn Rs. 1 lakh at the age of 21, which is just incredible. This is the kind of dedication one has to have to achieve something. Mr. Shreekant also began helping disabled people. He defines success as– “When someone whom you don’t familiarize or identify yourself with, comes and appreciates your work, that is success.”
Mr Himanshu also inspired the students by sharing some of his life experiences and giving them entrepreneurship ideas. He shared his experiences as a student in college making a website for laundry washing. He quoted – “Entrepreneurship is not just about selling products but is a teacher which teaches you the principle of being resilient.”
The challenges and experience faced by this young duo has given them sufficient confidence and enough battle scars that they were taken seriously by us as we understand that they were speaking from practical experience. Both the Entrepreneurs inspired the students to take up entrepreneurship as their career to be successful in life. All these basic life values can only be imbibed through experience because experience is the best teacher.
